Follow this check list to get started with your training program. 

There is no fee or cost to register for any FEMA or CERT training program.  Tucson CERT is a Non-Profit 501c(3) Arizona Corporation and relies on donations for program funding.

1. A new prerequisite to registration for Tucson CERT class room instruction:
Obtain a FEMA Student Number and Certificate of Completion for the Independent Study Program (ISP) Courses. 

2. You may also be required to obtain a Student Security ID Card. 

3. You can view or obtain a copy of almost any FEMA ISP course without registering and taking the final exam.

FEMA-ISP and ADEM Incident Command System (ICS) Training Program

The FEMA Independent Study Program (ISP) offers several online courses for the Incident Command System (ICS).  Some of these ISP courses are a required prerequisite for advanced classroom training programs presented by the Arizona Department of Emergency Services (ADEM), FEMA, or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  The Basic CERT Program will introduce the student to this system in Emergency Management.
